The position of SIG Coordinator will be anchored in the Young Adults group at the Social and Labor Market Administration. The Young Adults group consists of two social workers and two therapists, as well as a senior social worker. The Young Adults group is part of the adult unit that works with individuals who have harmful use and/or dependence on alcohol, drugs, and/or gambling. In addition to the Young Adults group, the unit has eight social workers and seven therapists who work with the target group over 25 years old, and there is also a reception consisting of three social workers. We offer close management consisting of two unit managers, two senior social workers, and a method supervisor. Our unit has diverse experience and backgrounds; what we have in common is our commitment and passion for the target group.

The position of SIG Coordinator involves close collaboration with social workers at the police.

All staff in the unit are offered external process supervision and a generous wellness allowance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a unique opportunity to help start a new, important operation in Mölndal. We have close management, and the work involves collegial collaboration with social workers, authorities, crime prevention actors, and civil society, as well as the opportunity to shape both methods and structure.

SIG (Social Intervention Group) is an intervention model aimed at young adults with crime-related behaviors or risky lifestyles. The model is based on long-term collaboration, individual focus, and coordinated interventions around each person, with the intention of supporting positive life choices, breaking destructive patterns, and strengthening prosocial networks. This work often occurs in close dialogue with the police, social services, probation, psychiatry, educational actors, etc.

As a SIG Coordinator in Mölndal Municipality, you will play a key role in building this entirely new operation. Your main tasks will be to establish and develop the SIG operation in Mölndal, including routines, collaboration structures, and team organization. The work will likely involve the following: Creating and leading individual intervention plans together with participants, where goals and commitments are specified and followed up. Coordinating networks around the client, such as police, social services, labor market actors, psychiatry, education, and calling for regular meetings, as well as supporting and coaching clients in the change process through motivational conversations, network mobilization, and problem-solving. The SIG work is an actively outreach intervention, which may involve meetings in clients' home environments, institutions (e.g., detention centers), or other relevant locations.

The assignment as SIG Coordinator also involves strategically working with collaboration at the authority level and contributing to policy and method development for the SIG model in the municipality. Documenting, following up, and reporting interventions, outcomes, and lessons learned to management, as well as participating in development and working groups, and representing SIG at external partners and collaboration meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying should have a degree in social work or another higher education degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. We want you to have a good understanding of the social services process and coercive legislation. It is advantageous if you have work experience in authority practice within social services, either with children and youth or with adults.

You should be self-driven and have the ability to collaborate and build networks that enable a SIG operation for young adults in Mölndal Municipality. You should have experience in coordinating or network-building work, preferably with complex target groups and collaboration models, and be accustomed to collaborating with multiple actors around clients (e.g., police, social services, care, education).

To thrive in the job, you need good communication skills, attentiveness, and a structured working method. You need to have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. You need to have initiative, creativity, and the ability to work both operationally and strategically. You should have a good ability to build relationships.
